Responsive Career Pathways
Blueprint ADE (a founding partner of the Future Skills Centre) has launched Responsive Career Pathways, an ambitious initiative focused on re-imagining what career services of the future could and should be (from policy, programming, and practice perspectives). Inspired by Canada: A Learning Nation, pan-Canadian stakeholder engagement sessions, and 9 research papers, the initiative comprises three pillars:
- Capacity-building: Recognizing that imperative to have a highly skilled career development service sector, there is currently a proposal under review to establish a national Career Development Professional Institute.
- A case study is underway to test approaches to working within a large company to support employers and workers facing disruption.
- It is anticipated that a series of demonstration projects will be launched across several regions, each conceiving and testing promising approaches to support a future-focused career service addressing both supply and demand side labour market needs.
